Distorted Tale ( Heart as Rapunzel)

A man and a woman left the city to continue the quest of a quack doctor for them. They were longing for a child so they compelled to complete the task. They summoned courage to reside in mountain where feral animals and torrent weather were the impediments to survive life.

One day as the sun coming out on the clearing clouds, one of its rays struck the stomach of the woman. It was an unbearable pain that only woman could endure. She shouted for help desperately and whined like it was the last breath of her life. Her husband who was axing the logs at the back of their house came to check her wife in their front door. Startled, he dropped his ax when his wife was lying on the ground pleading for an instant solution caused by pain. As days progressed, she felt that there was something alive and kicking in her stomach. She called her husband frantically to see what was happening. When her husband knew the reason, he jumped with overflowed joy and became frenzy every time he would think of his wife, pregnant. Her husband cited that God has granted their wish to have a child. They leaped for joy and thanked God for the wonderful gift
Eighteen years later, the baby transformed into a beautiful being like a goddess described in ancient Greece.  Men were lining in the front door knocking for her hand. To no avail, she continued to refuse their offer to marry. One day when Rapunzel was picking herbs, she saw wisps lining perfectly alluring her to go where it would lead. She followed them until she arrived in a place where she didn't know how she had gotten there that fast. When she turned to go back, she bumped onto a big wall on her front. She continued touching the wall for it to open but nothing happened. After weeks of being trapped, she stinks like an animal. She used the herbs to bathe herself. She applied it on her hair and to her body. Just a moment, she was scratching her hair as if lice made to reside there permanently. Her hair was falling one by one until it became a handful of falling hairs. Sadly, she became bald. Fortunately, her parents found her with some handsome boys  who helped them to find her. However, to their surprise, they ran going back to their houses when they saw how ugly Rapunzel was. The only man left was with eyes sparkling like a diamond. Mystified, Rapunzel ran to him and leaped like a leopard. Shrek caught her with both arms and flung to the air. They kissed like French and fondled like an Amsterdamian. Rapunzel thanked him for he didn't run when he saw her. Tears flowed on the cheeks of Rapunzel that shone a great bliss.  Magically, Shrek transformed as Daniel Matsunaga and Rapunzel went beautiful again.
After a month, they prepared for their wedding. They only invited the elite ones. President Obama was there joining the union of lovers as they accepted each other as one family.  On the day of the ceremony, Rapunzel requested to change her name as Heart. The priest granted her request so since then, she was called Heart. When the ceremony ended, she was held by the groom with both arms like a baby cuddled in a warm body.Daniel carried Heart passing the aisle enjoying the confetti threw in the air. Amazed, Heart froze like ice when she saw Chiz as one of their invited guests. She tapped Daniel as hard as she could to put her down. At that time, Heart felt something towards Chiz....

Why Manny lost his game?

Manny Pacquiao was rumored to be in the lists of heroes in our country. On behalf of this, he received famous awards that surely most Filipinos would be proud of their identity. Added to, he brought glory and honor to our flag which was identified in the boxing world.  He fought for our country in a professional level for one decade. He championed most of his fights and beat Mexicans, Americans and other Asian representatives.  And so, he must be an icon, a bearer of our flag representing our country not just in boxing career, but to every simple Filipinos who aspires a great dream.
Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao are known as forerunners in boxing field; competing for fame and position. This mainly characterized that Filipinos and Mexicans are the best boxers in the world. However, like other games the law is, one should win and one should loose. They had been into fights before but producers were eager to arrange same fights. Maybe because they were both hungry for money, resulting like a gladiator fighting to a voracious lion. Their recent fight was aired on T.V worldwide, live streamed on the internet and broadcasted in every news stations, which was obviously they were considered as historical figure  in the modern history. No other person who could do like this, who could stop people from working and glued their eyes on their television. Even we set Prince Harry’s wedding ceremony as example; still the viewers were not eager compared to Pacquiao Marquez fight.
The defeat of Manny dismayed the fans and his countrymen. The celebration was handed down to Mexicans, who waited long for the crown. In contrary, Philippines did not celebrate Manny’s loss instead; he was bombarded with cuss words especially in politics and religion. Many boxing analysts commented on him that politics was a stumbling block in his career. His time was mismanaged, one is exerting sympathy and the other is exerting for popularity. Apparently, this was just an issue thrown to Manny that he should not submit himself into politics because he was not credible to be a politician. Since this was just an advice, but he attested the fact that he was present in political meeting, arraignment, debate and forum.
Another theory made him lost was the change of Religion. As we all know that Manny grew up as Catholic. He was formed and raised in Catholic context, which his mom is a devout.  Truly, his faith was clanged in Catholicism before he started his career. He prayed using rosary and following the traditions of Catholics. Personally, I believe that this theory unable him to reach his luck. Why. If we define the word adjustment, the act of adjusting or state of being adjusted, simply says not recovered. Manny his side was not fully equipped to fight because he changed religion in which he was still undergoing an adjustment. If we count the days he spent in his new religion, it had been months since he stayed. By this, this gave him confusion in state that ‘’ will this new religion help me win?’’. Well if we base in sociological perspective, engaging to a new group of people lead to culture shock. As a student, when I was new here in Davao, it was really hard for me to cope with new environment, to settle with group of people and to meet their demands. In relation, Pacquiao as new member experienced culture shock because he had to sacrifice the Catholic tradition which he was used to follow. He had to follow the rules imposed of his new religion, to think that he was a responsible member of a new church. To narrow it down, Manny continually adjusts; he continually discovers his new religion. He still   reacts in his new environment different of his own resulting experiences don’t feel new, and start to get him down . Consequently, it gave him anxiety and culture shock, reasons why he lost the game. Thus change of a religion was a factor why Manny failed to give  the belt to us.

A Country with Colonial Mentality

                                                                       REACTION

I love abroad ,I love Louie Vuittton and I love Hollywood. These are the common things I hear from my kababayan. As what I observed that most Filipinos hooked in foreign products instead of patronizing the local ones.We become spendthrift in a way to own the most expensive things even it is less important. It is in our character to show pride with others and a vulgar display of riches. Buying this and that is a merely routine that filipino wants especially if the items have brand, signature, and where does it originates.
Way back in our history, Philippines was conquered by three great countires; the Spain, United States and Japan. Our great ancestors had witnessed how powerful the three countries in terms of machineries, gadgets and weapons. In line with that, it became a system of the Filipinos that foreign products/goods were better.Well, for one, this may be true given that foreign countries are more developed. They are equipped with better machineries and more advanced technologies when it comes to manufacturing goods as compared to the Philippines. However, I deem that every country has a comparative advantage when it comes to production of goods.

I have a friend who has a tita working abroad that receives big sallary every month. Her tita landed on a job which tasks are workable because of her degree. One day my friend told me that her tita will send a package again. She was very excited on the day that she may claim her awaited gadget. It was Nokia N72 cellphone which was the gift of her tita. I used to borrow it every weekend because I love the games and the graphics. I also enjoy the music I play because songs are loud and clear. We enjoy the moments together with her cellphone which we treat '' man's bestfriend''. Every time she receives a gift from her tita, she would always say that products from abroad are unique that Philipppines virtually own not the same thing. She infuenced me a lot to be choosy in such things that are durable and imported.

I simply say that Im using foreign products. I appreciate it a lot because it happened that most of my classmates have the same thing.Mind you that I have a Rusty Lopez and Vans at home.In fact, Rusty Lopez wont last especially when you get it wet while the Vans even how many times I soak it to water still it lasts. You can assure yourself that you'll have it for years and years until you'll get vommit of the design but it is wearable and durable at it is.As of now, Im trying to rebuild the foundation of supporting and patronizing our very own products. I should be proud of being Filipino and love what is in Philippines.Maybe this little way can help a lot to the Filpino bussinessman.

I know that our economy will loose and some other companies will fail. There will be a less demand, so it happens a less supply. Another there will be a less demand and more supply so it happens that the products will be rotten in the market and sold at cheaper price or else export it to abraod where foreigners give compliments to the neglected ones. Thus, maybe there might be more workers to prefer work abroad. Nevertheless, they will only come back to their homelands because that is "where the heart is". Setting that aside and putting necessity into account like the OFWs and other immigrants, we cannot just say that they lack nationalism. Even more they render support in our economy and people are even being encouraged to work abroad.Sadly,Filipino mentality is an overhauled mindset that is definitely hard to manipulate and nationalistically influenced.

Why Filipinos go Abroad http://hubpages.com/hub/Why-Filipinos-go-Abroad

The Philippines is a country that's pretty visible on the map of the world in the South East area in Asia. It's population to this date has just gone a little over the 90 million mark. A fraction of this "millions" of Filipinos, are actually not in the Philippines, well at least not in the country all the time. They're in other countries finding a living and sending money to their families back home.
While the statistics from the government isn't clear, one thing's quite clear, about 10% of RP's GDP (Gross Domestic Product) comes from remittances of OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers).
The GDP is a rough estimate of a country's output. It's quite silly when 10% of RP's GDP is coming from other countries. Technically it isn't really its output, it just so happens that money is pouring in to the country so they can spend it and somehow keeps its economy afloat.
In fact, OFWs are called "Bagong Bayani" (New Heroes) in the Philippines and for good reasons.

Sure there are lots of various reasons why Filipinos would go abroad to work and to live and maybe even visit but for the majority of these Filipinos, the real reason is "economic".
The average income of a typical Filipino worker in the Philippines is about 10,000 pesos per month (200 USD). It's hard to tell the average expenses of a typical household since it depends on a lot of things like whether there are children or renting a house or apartment and whether commuting or have a private vehicle to work or school.
Different people have different ways of measuring whether an income is low or average or high. For me, I simply measure it against my expenses or the things that I can buy with the money I have.

                                                         Reaction!!!

I passed along the street of Jacinto when I heard a song '' napakarami ng enhinyero dito sa atin ngunit bakit tila wala ng natira, nagaabraod sila''. I looked above the sky wondering if it is true because I havent so much heard of an engineers who went abroad. I remember my mom when she attempted to go abraod when I was in grade six. I have a little sister at that time which was my playmate and friend. We were naïve and carefree of our surroundings and Mom felt so bad to leave. She called a worship for us a couple of days before she would take off. There she sat on a couch and told me to be a good kuya for my sister because she may be not here in Philippines for four years. I spent my time crying for I would miss the embrace and kiss of my mom.

This is in concern of our government today why many of the Filipino skilled workers and professionals prefer to go abraod rather to work domesticated. Some reasons might be the unemployment and inadequate wages. These are some of the factors why individuals suffer from economic and social dislocation. Even students who deserve proper education might not be granted because of being underemployed. They work for their school, budget and allowance in order to maintain and acquire their scarce resources. We have tackled the working students, professionals and skilled workers, how about the unprofessional and the undergraduates? As we can see these kind of people have low possibilities to be employed. With this, they may develop economic insecurities about everything they do.

During deflation, the market of goods go down thats why we often see the word sale in the market. The output of this to the workers might lead to cancellation of employees or the worst is to fire them. Because of this dilemma, workers who dont receive anymore salaries are likely to be hungry and hot tempered and thats the time to promote strike. Propriety of violent actions emerge which intentioanlly call the response of the paralyzed government. We are governed mostly by dishonest and unserious in dealing with the country’s economic progress and growth. They are busy arguing, debating and opposing each other’s ideas and projects rather than making steps in solving the present problems of the country. There is lack of collaboration, sympathy, acceptance and consideration. They keep on complaining rather than working hard for the country.Even how rich the resources we have, our counntry still cant stand if there is no cooperation parties and officials.

In some ways, there are what we call the users of economy. They treat people like playing hide and seek. This is the fact why the commodities in the Philippines are so high. The reason behind is the existence of monopolies where one company controls the domestic market and dictates the prices of certain goods.Or oligopolies, where a number of corporations in the same industry connive with one another to control the market and fix prices among themselves. Example, prices of medicines in the Philippines are high because foreign pharmaceutical companies have banded together to form an oligopoly and fix prices in the domestic market. This act will impair the economy of the country as well as to ones family.

If this will continue it is expected that the number of immigrants will be doubled. More family will experience desolate from their loved ones. The chance is to opt the family in exchange for a money which they can find abroad. That's why some of the Filipinos take the opportunity rather than to serve his/her country. After completing the visa, they chose to dwell in abroad or marry a foreigner for them to become a citizen so that they can stay there for a long time. This cause to give up the Filipino ethnicity just for money. If money is the basis to live, will you give up your family?
